Halloween Party!

Today is Halloween... I took pictures of my boys in their costumes two weeks ago because I wasn't sure if I would get any pictures taken today.

Tyler hates his outfit and especially his hat! He was a big ball of screamig tears just getting him dressed this morning. He kicked and pulled, and there was now way he was keeping that hat on.

Chase's preschool had a little party today. Everyone brought treats.

I thought it would be fun to make some spider olives.

I was really impressed with the treats... witch hats, frankinstine crispie treats, pumpkin shaped cookies, exct!

My Vision...

So Wednesday Oct. 29 I was outside doing some more paint int on our house...
(Yes, I'm still not done yet) and just as I was finishing up for the day I noticed Tyler had brushed up against some of the wet paint and got it all over his new pants.
My fault for not putting rattier clothes on him, but the fact is I've only been painting about 1 hour a day mostly trim around the windows so I didn't think it would even be a problem...

I guess I was wrong. So I washed out my paint brush and rushed Ty in the house, stripped his clothes off and grabbed the stain remover.

The drama of the time was quite intense... I was trying to get done in enough time to get dinner ready before Tory got home from work and now with Tyler screaming on the floor in just a diaper I have "another thing to do" before I can get dinner on. So the point of the story...

In my hurried state I splashed Shout stain-spray in my left eye. I took out my contacts, flushed my eye with water and contact solution. The whole rest of the night my vision was messed up

I usually see better with my left eye than my right... but now my left eye was quite blurry!
The next day I went to the eye doctor to have him check my eye for damage. I had to pick up my new glasses anyway so I thought while I was there I might as well have him check.

So he says I want to check your vision with your new glasses...
As soon as I put them on it went blurry. He said ok... " cover your left eye and read the top line"

(left eye was the one with stain spray) I couldn't!
Then I covered my right eye and could read just fine. Then he asked me, after we repeated that process a few times, "Did you remember to take out your other contact?"

I was confused... I thought I did.... sure enough I still had one contact in my eye causing a change in my vision!

So $45 dollars later my left eye is fine, and my vision is back to normal.

My husbands reply was. "I married a blond!"

The Pumpkin Patch

Monday morning at 9:00 Chase's pre-school class met at Linder Farms in Kuna for their field trip to the pumpkin patch.
The parents all came with their kids and the younger siblings were invited too so Tyler came with us.

The first thing they got to do was run through the "Hay Bail Maze" (Chase is in the red Stocking hat).

Then we all got to go on a hay ride. There was a small petting zoo with Horses, a Zebra, some E-moos (its' a big bird I just can't spell it), and sheep, and a donkey and a camel... I just forgot to take pictures of that.

Of course Tyler's favorite part was the tractors!

The kids all had snacks...

The person directing us on our field trip took us to the field and said the kids could pick any pumpkin they wanted...

As long a they could carry it themselves, it was free.

Chase and one of his friends took a while trying to find the perfect pumpkin...

He wanted to find a really big one...

So he went around patting pumpkins looking for the cleanest and the biggest!

Horses!

I loved horses as a child. Prince was my grandpa's old horse. I learned how to ride horses on him. I always dreamed one day I would have a horse of my own.

This weekend Tory's sister Angie and her family were in town and invited us to go ride horses with them. Her daughter Jaycie's birth father has a horse ranch in Eagle.

The kids had a fun time.

Tyler was exited about the tractors there almost as much as the horses.

Tory grew up with horses but isn't much of a fan..

His alergies go crazy after being around them!

Still... it's a great picture!

Swimming with Cousins

Last week we went to the YMCA with Anna's and Heather's little families to swim.

Tyler had to swim with his yellow car... (it goes with him 24-7, Bed, nap, bath, church, exct.)

Amd since it isn't hurting anything, if he's happy so am I!

This is Tory causing a wave to crash over Chase...

Chase loves going down the slide with his dad.

Projects!!

I'm not lovin these first ew pictures of me painting... but if it wern't for Chase I wouldn't have any early pictures of me painting... so I'll post them any way

My latest project has been to paint the outside of our house. When the weather is nice I spend 2-3 hours a day painting and this has been going on for about 2 months now! Still not finished...

but is will be soon. Thanks to my dad, we borrowed his paint sprayer and the job is mostly done. A little more trim work and some touch-up areas then the project will be complete.

Speaking of weather... on Thursday it froze. Chase woke up in the morning and looked outside and said, "Look mom it SNOWED!"

He then quickley put his snow gear on over his PJ's and went out side to shovel some snow. He quickly learned the difference between Frost and Snow.

With a sad face he came in the house and said, "It didn't snow."

So here is the other Project... our dryer. At first it had a hard time with a full load so I started drying half loads, then half of that until it finally quit! So tory pulled it apart and ordered a new belt and put it back together...

Here he is draped over the dryer putting it back,
but now it is a week later and is still having problems turning smoothly then quiting after about 10 minutes!
More parts are ordered and due to show up today! I'll keep ya posted about the progress,
In the mean time I continue to hang dry what I can and when it gets to be too much I make a special trip to my parents house.

Designed for Kids!

Tory's youngest brother Brian recently got married in Utah. The reception was held at home of a family member (Bride's side). It's actually 2 houses sharing the same back yard. These pictures are only the highlights of the kids area. Only about half of the rest of the amazing landscape. I won't describe all the other areas... too much effort... but this is a glimpse of the kids areas!

This is the kid size cabin... the door is slightly too short for an adult to go in with out ducking!

This one room cabin is complete with electricity, antique stove (on th right when you walk in) and just wide enough for a fouton couch and top bunk for sleeping!

My boys are having the time of their life in the sandbox with more tractors than even we own!

(Is that possible?)

The sandbox sits opposite from the cabin.

Here is a Stucco teepe that also has electricity.... inside it is a celing fan and little chairs in a circle around a fire pit!

The pond is directly behind the house the owners live in, there is also a little waterfall you can't see, but from where I am standing there is a secret path up a little hill on the back side of the pond (there is also a fake deer in the trees by the path) that takes you up to this tower... picture on the left in the inside of the tower... also with electricity!

This amazing home has opened my eyes to some of the possibilities you can create with a little imagination!
